Ok so my family has had some
illnesses and I have just been
very busy. I decided to post
the last few emails. I did
get a christmas card from
Hayley but since my
scanner is broke I can't upload
it.

Oct 11th

first this coming week we have 4 baptisms in our ward. 3 are from me
and sister brown (my trainer, who is awesome) and the 1 is from the
elders in our ward. it will be a very busy and spiritual week. funny
things that happened this week include our investigators girl friend
had her baby yesterday, the girlfriends dad is a transvestite (don't
think i spelt that right, basically a man who dresses and acts like a
women, his name is Jeannette), we are teaching a bi-polar-depressive
mother of 3 who wants to get divorced but cant because she would lose
her kids, and also we teach a family from Nepal who don't understand
half of what we say. lol so basically VA is crazy and i love it:)
well i better let you go i love you and miss you all so much. tell
Greg this is the best thing he could ever do for this family. i only
wish i could have grown up with a righteous priesthood holder:)

so this week was funny! we ended up baptizing all our investigators so
we had to find more and man the Lord answers when you ask. we have 4
progressing investigators this last week. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!! i hope
that i can be a tool in the Lords hands to help them along and help
them get to waters of baptism and intern to the highest level of the
Celestial kingdom:)
well i have to say that I'm so thankful for the way the Lord has
prepared my heart and my life for these next 16 months. i had a dream
about some friends i used to have and i almost cried thinking how we
all started at the same point and now are for sure in different
places. i so thankful to my Heavenly Father who has given me the
strength to press forward. i know i wasn't always the best but i know
he saved me from some potentially bad places that would have kept me
from a mission.  i know my Father lives. he is in everything we do. in
one of my favorite movies this man states that he doesn't believe in
God and the other says "but he will always believe in you".
i miss you all and hope everything is well. i still love VA and i pray
this week was just full of the spirit!!!

Dont forget that you are the best example for your kids. all the things you
will do are the things they will see. one of my favorite talks from
conference was by rosemary wixom, she says "if you dont teach you kids
the world will". i know you would never let that happen just stay
close to them. keep being a  good example!!

i want you to know that even though im young i have really come to a knowledge that
my Heavenly Father lives. that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that i
need him every hour every day. i cant do anything with out him. i wish
i had perfect faith like that prophets in the B.O.M. but i just doesn't
happen over night. i struggle every day to find my feet. but some how
i do. some how i make it through the day. some how i find my self
praying for strength instead of getting on a plane back to utah. and
its only because of this gospel. i love it so much. it has given me
everything i am. Ive been thinking alot about this quote "we aren't
human beings having a spiritual experience, but rather spiritual beings
having a human experience" i love you and i miss talking to you. i
hope you can find time to have daily contact with your Heavenly
Father.

12-6-10

thanksgiving was fun we went to our ward mission leaders house. we
helped cook and got permission to watch "suits on the loose" it was so
funny. not the best choice but still good. anyways, we have been
blessed with miracles all week. we set 4 people for baptism in 2 days
it was insane. i love this work so much. i love being here. my
companion and i made it through transfers. so we will be together for
Christmas. so that will be fun.

Dec 20th email

So funny thing is I just heard of The forgotten carols. Hayley told me
that at the same time she had received a cd with on song Let Him In.
What are the odds that,that would happen.

well this week has honestly been
really hard. but it will get better today! we are going to the stake
center the play basketball with a bunch of elders. it will be a nice
brake from the craziness.

We had so much fun. we watche a bunch of families open their gifts and all that
fun stuff. i laughed because it was o different then our christmas at
home. mom did sent me some PJs so that was fun. we ate so much food
that day! it was fun!!
that night it snowed a ton!!! like a foot but that foot got us stuck
inside for 2 days. we finally we able to escape today!! but it takes
us 4 years to get anywhere.
so funny story. i talked to Jerod and he always says "i was going to
punch" who ever. and you said that and my companion always gets made
at me cus Im always saying Im going to punch people! lol i laughed
hard at that too. it was weird to talk to everyone. someone i will
punch is Logan! he needs a swift kick. lol i leave that up to Jerod.

Sister Han's first Conversion

I talked to my mom and she told me that Sister Han had her first Baptism. I guess the sister only wanted the Elders and sister's and the Bishop their.But this is her first conversion and we are so happy and proud of Sister Han! I guess Sister Han was teaching her the missionary discussions too.

just say i almost screamed in the library

ya'll in my prayers!! im so excited for him.
i just finished the Book
of Mormon for the first time last week so he is way beyond me.
lol anyways i'm loving VA so much. im totaly in the ghetto!
it so fun. we teach all kinds of people. the first time i
taught the restoration wasto this egyptian family that
really didnt understand anything we were
saying and then ended up telling us about there
church and i laughed because the egyptains were of the same

fatith and the pyrimids were

build to praise one God. i think i told you about that. so we laughed
and moved on. anyways, i loved the MTC! i had the best companion. she
is in texas now so im sad about that. but it nice cus we can write!
the MTC is a colorful temple. i loved it:) i got to VA on sept 8 with
15 other elders. i was the  only sister. so i got a room to me self
the first night at the mission home. IT WAS AWESOME!! the next day i
met my trainer and everything has been so fun. ive learned so much. oh
ya i have our picture from my farewell framed and its next to a
picture with my district from the MTC, so you better be happy about
that.
well im running out of time.....like always. so i just want you to
know that im so excited for your family! greg wil get there. just let
the spirit teach him, ive seen it happen. it will be hard but we've
always known he would figure it out someday:)

ps thanks for the note you wrote in my journal. i cut it out and put
it in my scrap book! i love you and miss you:) tell greg a great
scripture is 2 nephi 4 (nephi admits he has problems and verse 28 he
rejoices cus he doesnt have to deal with his sins anymore) its my
favorite right now!

Memories

Got a letter from Hayley today that she leaves the missionary training center on Sept. 8th to head out for her LDS Mission in Richmond,VA. I hope that Hurricane Earl passes before she gets there. Part of that mission goes into N.Carolina. I am sure the Lord will protect her. I will post photos later that she sent today

This was a update from my mom's FB.....she also said she would post pics of Hayley soon.

I miss her so much.We used to talk atleast once a week and not talking to her at all is so hard.I am sure it is hard for her too.

In the comments maybe we could all post a memory that reminds us of Hayley!

Update

I haven't heard much personally but I talked to J our big brother and he said that Hay is doing great.She did say it was harder then she thought it was going to be.She should be leaving for Virginia very soon!

Hayley leaving for the MTC!!!

Here are the pictures of Hayley on the day our mom took her to the MTC.I haven't heard anything from her yet. I am sure she is doing awesome.Our family loves her and we are so proud of her.

Hayley is now officially a missionary as of today!!! She will be serving in the Richmond Virginia area.We are so proud of her!! I will post pics as soon as I get them!

Hello all this is Brittany Hayley's bestest sister....just kidding.
